An Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Product Development & Data-Centric Marketing

  • MINDSET

    Participants gain the soft skills and mental models to anticipate future trends and navigate the modern, digital workforce.

  • MAKER

    Participants are taken through a taste of the design sprint process to develop their own product and are trained in the no-code tools needed to build rapidly.

  • MARKET

    Participants are taught foundational digital marketing strategies to successfully bring their product to market.

Program Eligibility

Our Wave Hub has partnered with the Government of Ontario to provide free training for youth who have or are at risk of job displacement.

  • Residing in Ontario;

  • Between the ages of 18-29;

  • Priority will be given to people who self-identify as women, racialized groups and/or Indigenous people;

Founder

Prieeyya Kaur Kesh

Prieeyya Kaur Kesh is the Founder & CEO of Our Wave Hub. Her expertise lies in learning design, talent incubation and workforce development strategy. Before starting Our Wave, she developed programs with the UNHCR, startup incubators in Ontario, as well as Ontario Centres of Innovation (OCI). She has also supported the design and execution of the City of Brampton’s Workforce Development Strategy with a focus on youth retention within the city.

Sisa Lleses

Sisa is Co-founder at [Design Off The Boat](http://designofftheboat.com/): An all-women product design crew for all women founders dedicated to social impact and tech for good. Sisa uses her expertise in Design Thinking and No-Code to build products faster and smarter. She is a Founding Fellow at On-Deck’s No-code Fellowship, UX Lead at NeedsList, and Design Ambassador for the Hub of Innovation for Inclusion.

Astawa Alam

Entrepreneur, Marketer, Speaker & Educator Astawa Alam is a marketer, entrepreneur, speaker, and educator. When Astawa figured out that traditional schooling wasn't the right fit for him, he took his education into his own hands and became a self-taught web designer and digital marketer. Using these skills, he co-founded DxM Creative in 2014 and now boasts a roster of clients including award-winning entrepreneurs, international non-profits, and startups. Today, Astawa is a Content Marketing Strategist at Roadmunk, one of Canada's fastest growing startups. Astawa loves sharing his adventures in marketing and entrepreneurship on TikTok, Instagram, and Youtube.
